Many families who buy a vehicle on one day deliberately schedule the delivery and first drive for a separately chosen auspicious day. Ashwini (the celestial horsemen's star), Pushya, Rohini, Hasta, and Shravana are the most favorable Nakshatras. The vehicle's first movement under an auspicious Nakshatra is believed to set the tone for all future journeys. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are the preferred weekdays for taking delivery.
